The first day of Vserv CoderDojo kick started on an exciting note as youngsters, some of them as young as seven years old, accompanied by their parents, gathered at our office to learn computer programming. The session began with the mentor from CoderDojo, giving an introduction to programming tools that the youngsters would be using for the day.

Using a tool called Scratch they were taught how to create a computer game using simple drag & drop coding modules.  The youngsters too,  enthusiastically tried their hand at programming and went on to quickly create a small game. At the end, they were given a small project to create with some help from their parents.

Vserv CoderDojo is a free computer programming club for youngsters by us in collaboration with CoderDojo.  The next Vserv CoderDojo is scheduled to be held on December 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. at our office.
