‘Vserv CoderDojo’ is an initiative that draws inspiration from our core value of being Ethical. For us, Ethical means our engagements with our clients, partners and even each other are honest and transparent, both in thought and in action. However, another important aspect of being ethical is also giving back to the community.
To do this, we have teamed up with CoderDojo to start Vserv CoderDojo: our very own free computer programming club for young people. Through Vserv CoderDojo, we are providing youngsters between the age of 7 and 14 a collaborative, interactive and a fun-filled way of developing their computer programming skills.
For us at Vserv, it is an opportunity to contribute to the community by volunteering for this initiative as a mentor to teach programming, or simply to help organize the Dojo. ‘Vserv CoderDojo’ commences on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at Mumbai office.
If you’re from Mumbai, you can register youngsters in your family and refer Vserv CoderDojo to your friends, relatives and even neighbors to get youngsters in their families enrolled with our CoderDojo and learn programming for free. There is no prior knowledge of computers required, no need to bring along a laptop or an iPad or even school computer books.
Click here to register. We are also accepting spot registrations at the Dojo. See you at Vserv CoderDojo!
