KittyDev Team (Thailand) – Developer of the Week

Thailand is on the brink of a huge technological transformation. The Thailand government has initiated a plan to restructure the future of its internet & mobile market. Although it is still at a in the  very nascent stage, Thailand has witnessed a marked three fold growth in internet usage over the past 5 years. This growth is expected to mature consistently with every year. With so much exposure to new technology, there are newer avenues opening up for mobile developers to experiment & play with. Tan & his team, ‘Kitty Dev Team,’ are leveraging such opportunities to let their creativity loose & come up with newer practical applications every day.kittydev

Tan started developing apps while he was still studying at an university. His fascination for mobile & wireless technology drove him to pursue an internship at Microsoft Innovation Center where he came across the Windows phone. He soon formed a software development team along with a group of friends which operated under the name of ‘Kitty Dev Team’. After graduating; they officially registered themselves under the name of Softsion Co. Ltd.

When they initially started off, they faced a lot of problems trying to understand the Windows platform which was relatively new to them. With perseverance, they figured the workaround soon. Today Kitty Dev team is Nokia partners and one of the top app developers in Thailand. They have developed many successful apps including Messenger HD & DUKDIK.

While talking about monetizing their apps, Kitty Dev says, "With its great product value and apt support, Vserv had made apps monetization a must have for us. Vserv has assisted us from the beginning by teaching us various techniques that can be used to monetize our apps effectively. Their support team is upto the mark & is always there to resolve our problems."

Among people that inspire him the most, Tan is motivated most by Mark Zuckerberg. His expulsion from Harvard is similar to Tan’s experience in life. But from among unrelated inspirations, Tan loves the melodies created by pianist Daisy de Junt. The soothing beautiful compositions never fail to relax & inspire Tan into doing some of his most creative work.

Tan wants to take his app ‘DUKDIK’ to the next level & develop it on the lines of a social networking site with an image sharing base like Instagram. As a first step towards it, he is looking forward to releasing the official sticker for ‘DUKDIK’ immediately. On this bright note, we would like to wish him the all the luck in achieving his dreams!
