MWC Round up Day 2 featuredMWC 2015 kicked off with much grandeur as industry biggies such as Google, Samsung, HTC and Microsoft, each one had something new to announce, a new innovation to showcase. As day two comes to close, we look at some of the things that made headlines in the last two days:

BlackBerry Leap and a curved display smartphone
One of the highlights of the day was BlackBerry’s unveiling of a new full touchscreen smartphone, the BlackBerry Leap. However, the company also teased with a new smartphone that featured a display design that curves on the sides, much like the Galaxy S6 and slide-out keyboard. To know more, read the story below.

Intel’s new mobile processors for low cost smartphones

Ford’s innovative ‘Smart’ bicycle
Automotive major, Ford unveiled its connected bicycle concept at this year’s MWC. The MoDe: Me and MoDe: Pro work with a prototype iPhone 6 app and provide features such as ‘smart routing’ and health tracking. Read more on this interesting announcement:

Microsoft’s Lumia 640 phones and folding keyboard
Microsoft unveiled its new Lumia phones and interesting folding Bluetooth keyboard that’s designed to work for any mobile device. Sony Xperia Z4 tablet
While Sony did not announce the next version of their flagship smartphone, the company unveiled its new tablet device, the Xperia Z4 tablet. Gionee Elife S7
Claiming it to be one of the slimmest smartphones, Gionee announced the Elife S7 at the Mobile World Congress. According to Gionee, the smartphone boasts of a unique aviation-level aluminium magnesium alloy body inspired by the U-shape design of railway tracks.
